Artist's Comments

This was painted in acrylics on gessoed masonite (36" by 36").
Inspired by M.C.Escher, might be hard to see at this resolution but their about 70 ants (Oecophylla smaragdina and Myrmica rubra).
The geometric figure is a double moebius strip (a moebius strip cut down the center) which has similar qualities to a traditional moebius strip, though some unique ones as well. hope you enjoy!

yeah, i got the mobius idea from mc escher, and the ants idea from dali. glad you like it:) i need to rephotograph this painting...this image of it is TERRIBLE...

nah, this painting is gihugeous...it's 3 feet by 3 feet (about 1 meter by 1 meter), so it would NOT fit in a scanner :XD:
